This is the original uncropped photo. I tried straightening it, but it looks better at a diagonal. I shot this in the desert to capture what I saw in the plant life. There was an incredible tenacity under highly adverse circumstances and a clear pattern of clinging to shade. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come across in this photo. Distinguishing the tree from the other plant material might help, as would clarifying what’s happening at the base of the tree. I would also like to see what it looks like to eliminate the grain in the sky. Maybe a Wacom tablet could better handle such detailed work?
