Notes:
These photos were taken for my class, Digital Photography Fundamentals. The assignment called for a series of indoor tabletop images to illustrate the effect of decreasing the aperture. I set the ISO to 200 and allowed the camera to control the exposure time. The smaller apertures required longer exposures, so I used a tripod and shutter release to maintain stability. I used manual focus with focus peaking to lock the focus on the frontmost chess piece. However, using autofocus in combination with the AF-L button also would have worked. Holding the shutter button depressed halfway to both autofocus and maintain that focus would have been another option.
