Notes:
I have been playing around with editing photos solely in Lightroom and have found that I can achieve better results more quickly, even with images I had been unable to process with Photoshop. Photoshop is the better tool, and the difficulties are entirely due to my lack of expertise. However, I can now see a place for Lightroom, especially when making quick edits to the whole image. Optimizing photos with Lightroom and then handling specific corrections in Photoshop might be a good next step for me.
