Notes:
This was also a test of the Olympus OM 50mm f/2 macro lens. The images I found online suggested macro lenses were particularly good for portraits of pets and small children. This lens is essentially a close-focusing normal on a full-frame camera, but on Fuji’s crop sensor, it’s roughly the same as a portrait-length 85mm lens. Research indicated that older manual focus macro lenses are still competitive with modern macro lenses, and the Olympus OM 90mm f/2 and 50mm f/2 macros are generally regarded as excellent lenses at less than half the price of a new lens.
