Notes:

I was attempting to capture light passing through the petals, but it didn’t quite work. This photo might have looked better in color with a wider depth of field. However, the topmost flower is interesting, with reasonable detail and contrast. The same is more or less true of the second flower to the right. I like the lit-up petals in contrast to the dark background.  This reminds me of a YouTube video from Berkeley photographer, Harold Davis, explaining how he makes photographs of backlit flowers.  The U.S. Postal Service has used some of his images on their stamps.
