Notes:
While I am pleased with Ektar, Portra 400 is not entirely to my taste. The grain bothers me. Nonetheless, Portra works well in this photo. I have struggled to get good portraits of Pip, but her coloring and sheen are accurately depicted here. Even though the grain bothers me, both the film and the grain do a consistently great job of rendering the out-of-focus areas. It should be noted that this photo was taken indoors on a cloudy day. Also, Pip has a corneal opacity in the eye on the right and large patches of solid black fur on the left side.
