Oakland

This series is an ongoing project exploring Oakland with its mix of immigrants, working-class families, twenty-somethings, San Francisco emigres, queer communities, and homeless population.  Beyond the stereotypes and reputation for crime and violence lies a city with tremendous energy, prodigious talent, and all the corresponding hopes, dreams, and frustrations.
